  ROUTES RITES  RITUALS: INHABITING UNCERTAINTY

2022- ongoing

  participatory project supported by
Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research (NRW)

The project is an ongoing collection of textile objects, paintings, photographs and mental techniques made and mastered beginning with 24/02/22 when Russia invaded Ukraine. The collection is based on my communication with a family that fled Odessa on the second week of the war and temporarily landed in my atelier in Germany.

Most of the objects have an open-ended character aiming to be finished by the end of the war.

All of them serve as an artistic documentation of the time and show freshly learnt techniques and rituals of dealing with the new reality.
